(71.102.148.43) 		Is there any way to add a UBB script/function in which you could ignore all users in a given thread?

For example, the next time a "What kind of shoes should I wear?" or "How much water should I take?" or "How much should my pack weigh?" or "I didn't get a Main Trail Permit: How scary/hard/exposed is the Mountaineer's Route?" topic gets started, you could click a button and not only ignore the OP, but everyone who feels the need to answer these questions over and over, even though they've only been on the mountain once and didn't summit?

I don't want to sound too harsh, but out of 9,000+ users who can't seem to figure out the "search" function (or how to click on the extensive FAQ) it's getting harder to sift out the actual gems and nuggets of factual, constructive and entertaining posts...

But it is also unfortunate that the software does not have an "Ignore this Thread" option.

It's the nature of bulletin boards. Haven't seen one yet where topics don't get recycled continuously. And never seen where complaining about it, or urging people to use the search function has much effect.

As for ignore - under a user's profile there's a button to ignore. As for ignoring a thread - well, I assume you can read the title, so don't click on it ...
